The BID will commission an access audit to look at accessibility in key areas for disabled residents and visitors, mothers with young children and elderly people, as well as assessing the quality of the signage and ease of navigation in the town centre as a whole.

Accessibility is an important factor in a town centre’s appeal as a place to visit; the visitor’s experience with parking, navigation into and around the town and ease of access into shops and restaurants will certainly play a part in their decision to return. Not only will an audit identify where we need to improve accessibility based on the needs of specific groups, it will also assess way finding and parking as a vital part of the Royal Tunbridge Wells experience for residents and visitors alike.
