the Borough Council's annual Housing Forum event held in July 2005 and

Recommendations made by the Borough Housing Partnership will be taken to the Borough Council by the Councillor and/or the Council officers and to other relevant bodies by the appropriate member(s). In such cases the respective Councillor/officers/members will be responsible for ensuring Partnership members are kept informed of progress and opportunities to attend Council or other meetings, and will also act as go between and keep the Partnership informed of progress. The Housing Partnership assisted in the development of the Borough Council's new Housing Strategy 2006-2011, which was adopted in February 2007 and now monitors the Council's progress in implementing the Housing Strategy. The Borough Housing Partnership will establish programmes for delivery of outcomes in respect of Housing and related issues and will maintain an overview of performance in relation to those outcomes. These will be based upon an analysis of local needs and on an understanding of community priorities. In particular, the Borough Housing Partnership will develop and oversee the delivery of its contribution of the LAA2 in relation to Housing and related issues for the period 2008-2011, working with those agencies and partnerships at the local and strategic levels that need to be engaged in the work. |
