Notification of Addendum to Sustainable Community Strategy 2006-2011Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and Tunbridge Wells Together (the Local Strategic Partnership) considered the inclusion of an addendum to the Sustainable Community Strategy on the 17 and 18 July respectively. The amendments reference the proposed development partner vehicle in the Sustainable Community Strategy and this vehicle is identified as a key driver to deliver the aims and objectives of the Sustainable Community Strategy. The aims and objectives of the Sustainable Community Strategy are not being amended rather specific reference to a potential delivery vehicle is being inserted. The Sustainable Community Strategy already highlights the reasons the Council is proposing to enter a long term partnership and create a delivery vehicle. The vision in the Sustainable Community Strategy includes maintaining a prosperous local economy and identifies this as being achieved through:
Addendum to the Sustainable Community Strategy Page 16 - Maintaining a Thriving Economy Add to the section "A Prosperous Local Economy" To achieve our ambition of maintaining a prosperous economy and looking towards the challenges of the future, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is looking to engage with a preferred development partner to create Tunbridge Wells Regeneration Company Limited or such other suitable delivery vehicle. This innovative partnership arrangement will have a specific role in supporting and taking forward the priorities of the local strategic partnership within the borough working in the four centres of Royal Tunbridge Wells, Southborough, Paddock Wood and Cranbrook.
