RTW in Bloom Planting at Lloyd’s Bank

Royal Tunbridge Wells Together is delighted to have worked with Lloyds Bank, who generously contributed towards the installation of an impressive display of planters outside their landmark premises on Mount Pleasant Road in support of the 2018 Britain in Bloom campaign.

This year, Royal Tunbridge Wells is representing the South & South East region in the Large Town category, in addition to the UK finals for Best Town. With the colours of the display, planted by the Soroptimists Tunbridge Wells and the RTW in Bloom team, matching those of the women’s suffrage movement, the flowers also serve as a commemoration of 100 years since women won the right to vote in the UK.

Other local businesses helping Royal Tunbridge Wells achieve the best marks possible include Chilstone, the manufacturer of beautiful garden ornaments from fountains to planters, and the Chamberlain Court Care Home, whose residents took the time to help plant flowers for this display.

The installation took place on the morning of Friday 27 June, with members of RTW in Bloom, Royal Tunbridge Wells Together, and Lloyds Bank attending as the planters were installed. Judging takes place on Friday 13 and Monday 30 July.
